The last date for the submission of the Online application is 08-11-2021.

TN Medical Selection – Important Dates
TN Directorate of Medical Education – Paramedical Degree Courses – Eligibility
Nativity:
- Candidates belonging to other States cannot claim the nativity of Tamil Nadu
- Candidates who are Natives of Tamil Nadu and who have studied 6th standard to 12th standard in schools of Tamil Nadu need not submit their “Nativity Certificate”.
- Candidates who are Native of Tamil Nadu, but studied from 6th Standard to 12th Candidates who are native of Tamil Nadu alone will be considered for communal reservation.
- Other State candidates who are not native of Tamil Nadu but who have Studied 6th standard to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be treated as OC (Open Competition) candidates.
Age Limit: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December 2021. (Those who were born a few days later can also be included, i.e. maximum 15 days).
- FOR B.Sc., (NURSING) COURSE:- Candidates belonging to OC / BC / BCM / MBC/DNC should not have completed 30 years as of 31st December 2021. For SC / SCA / ST candidates should not have completed 35 years as of 31st December 2021.
- For B.ASLP: Candidates shall not exceed more than 25 years as of the 1st July of 2021 B.ASLP
Education Qualification:
Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Equivalent Board in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks.
- Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics with any other subject
Minimum Eligibility Marks:
B.Pharm. /B.ASLP Courses:
- For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Candidates: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics not less than 40 % aggregate marks.
- For SC / SCA / ST Candidates: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics.
B.Sc. Nursing Course:
- For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Candidates: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology with not less than 45% aggregate marks.
- For SC / SCA / ST Candidates: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology with not less than 40 % aggregate marks.
B. Optom. Course:
- All Categories: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics
B.P.T /B.Sc.Radiography & Imaging Technology / B.Sc. Radio –Therapy Technology / B.Sc. Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Technology / B.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology / B.Sc Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology / B.Sc Cardiac Technology / B.Sc Critical Care Technology /B.Sc Physician Assistant / B.Sc Accident & Emergency Care Technology / B.Sc Respiratory Therapy / B.O.T/ B.Sc Dialysis Technician / B.Sc.Neuro Electro Physiology / B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition courses
- All Categories: Passed in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology.
Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examinations with the same group of subjects mentioned above should produce the eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University before admission to the course.
Application Fee:
- The fee for the online application process is Rs.400/- and should be paid via the bank portal.
How to Apply Online:
- The candidate should log on in any one of the following official websites – www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in / www.tnmedicalselection.org
- Candidates should submit their filled-in online application form by uploading the details in the required fields.
- Request for change in any particulars in the online application shall not be entertained under any circumstances after submission.
- Candidates are advised to submit only one application form. If a candidate submits more than one application form, his/her candidature will be canceled.
- Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application is correct during the online submission of the application form.
- Candidates should submit the printout of the filled-in online application form (Hard Copy) along with necessary enclosures.
- The filled-in online application form along with the necessary enclosures should reach the following address – The Secretary, Selection Committee, No.162, E.V.R. Periyar High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10.
- Candidates should send their filled-in online application form along with all the enclosures in an A4 size cloth-lined cover. The template with the requisite details should be printed and pasted on the cover.
- AR Number (Application Registration Number) will be assigned by the Selection Committee on receipt of the filled-in online applications.
- Candidates are instructed to enclose only the photocopies (not original) of the following certificates in the order indicated below along with the application.
Required Documents:
- The Mark sheet(s) of H.S.C. examination/any other Equivalent examination duly endorsed by the competent authority. Photocopy of both the sides of the mark sheets should be enclosed.
- Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or Equivalent courses.
- Nativity certificate (if applicable).
- Permanent Community Certificate Card
- Candidates seeking Admission against Special Category seats should submit necessary certificates obtained from appropriate authorities in the prescribed form and submit them along with the application to the Selection Committee.
- X – standard Mark Sheet.
- Certificate for proof of study from 6TH standard to 12TH standard (candidate who studied in Tamilnadu)
- H.S.C Hall Ticket
- First graduate Certificate (claiming to be the first graduate in their family if applicable). Certificate submitted along with application alone will be considered. If submitted later to the college authorities, it will be summarily rejected
Online Counselling Procedure (Single Window System):
- Online Counselling Schedule will be available only on the website. Candidates should lock their choices of Colleges and Courses as per the schedule.
- Admission to Paramedical Degree courses shall be made by counseling on the basis of merit applying the rule of reservation.
- The processing fee of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) should be paid through online mode via bank payment portal to participate in the online counseling.
- A candidate who has not registered and has not locked the choices in the 1st round of online counseling will not be permitted to the subsequent rounds of online counseling.
- At the time of choice filling, candidates can choose the Course and College of their own choices on a merit basis and the same will be allotted as per the availability of seats.
